Explorers

Here at St Michaels ESU we encourage the explorers to develop their own programme from scratch. In doing so they learn important skills such as leadership, budgeting and organisation. We build upon and expand the skills learnt at scouts with a focus on youth led scouting. During their time in explorers young people will:

• Develop leadership skills
• Learn emergency aid
• Spend nights away – the summer camp is often the highlight of the year
• Help others in the community
• Cook, both at home and at camp
• Adventurous and sporting activities – anything from abseiling to zorbing
• Learn survival skills
